Free-fall lifeboats
All freefall lifeboats produced at Euro Offshore are made of fireproof glass fiber reinforced polyester (GRP) and are injected with foam in certain areas to assure buoyancy and strength. Extra strengthening is built into the bow to absorb the forces of the water during diving. Since 2006 all bulk carriers are required to carry freefall lifeboats and the ones on tankers also need to be fireproof. Therefore, two types of freefall lifeboats are produced at Euro offshore;
Cargo version
The cargo version of freefall lifeboats are available in different sizes with capacities ranging from 16 up to 75 persons. The drop height ranges from 16 meters to 25 meters, depending on the size of the vessel.

Tanker version
The tanker version of freefall lifeboats are available in different sizes, with capacities ranging from 16 persons up to 40 persons. The drop height ranges from 16 meters to 25 meters, depending on the size of the vessel. All tanker freefall lifeboats are equipped with a water-spraying system for fire protection and an air supply system (for the maximum number of persons, for a minimum of 10 minutes). A fully loaded life boat is able to run at 6 knots during 24 hours and all boats are delivered with a complete set of rescue equipment.
