The gravity life boat davit is a hinged gravity type davit that lowers the boat by use of its own weight (gravity) and are available for a capacity from 55 Kn to 170 Kn. The life boat is lowered without stopping, as turning out and lowering is a continuous motion. In case manual slewing is not allowed to recover the life boat, a hydraulic slewing davit van be used as an alternative.
