Since 2006 all bulk carriers are required to carry freefall boats and lifeboats. The ones on tankers needs to be totally enclosed and fireproof. For this reason Euro Offshore offers two types of free-fall boats and lifeboats, the tanker version and the dry cargo version.
All EO free-fall boats and lifeboats are made of fireproof glass fiber reinforced polyester (GRP) and are injected with foam in certain areas to assure buoyancy and strength. Extra strengthening is built into the bow, to absorb the forces of the water during diving.
All of our free-fall boats and lifeboats, in fully loaded conditions are able to run at 6 knots during 24 hours and all boats are delivered with a complete set of rescue equipment.
